dc.descriptionThe City of Benin lies in the centre of the ancient Kingdom, the induence of which extended as far as Dahomey and the Congo, and especially over Nigeria. Many towns and countries paid tribute to the King of Benin at Benin City through the Governors or chiefs of Benin who were incharge of thevarious towns and countries in those by-gone days.
