dc.descriptionThis book is in different parts or volumes. The first Volume deals with two and three letter words, their anagrams, back and front hooks etc, and like a crescendo it ascends to longer words in subsequent volumes. Scrabble was invented by Alfred Mosher Butts, an American architect in 1938, Poughkeepsie, New York, USA. It is a word game played by two to four players scoring points by placing tiles – each bearing a single letter – on a game board of 225 squares. The goal of scrabble is to earn the highest score by the end of the game. There are 100 tiles in a scrabble game. There are 98 tiles with letters of the alphabet and two blank tiles. The letter tiles have score values indicated by the number at the bottom right of the letter, while there are two blank tiles which has no score value and can be used as any letter of the alphabets as preferred by a player. It is important also to know how many of each letter tiles are in a game of scrabble.
