dc.descriptionThe Banking Sector recorded a number of developments during the first half of 2018. Amongst these were the periodic meetings of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). Other notable macroeconomic events included the growth of the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 1.95% in Q1 2018 from 1.92% in Q4 2017; and the decline to 1.5% in Q2 2018. The highlights of major developments in the Nigerian economy are presented in the NDIC Quarterly.
