dc.description | The Commonwealth Teacher recruitment protocol, which is a multilateral agreement endorsed on 1st September 2004 by the Ministers of Education of the Commonwealth countries requires each country of the Commonwealth to streamline and standardize its teacher education programmes. This is to facilitate international comparison and equal treatment/conditions of service for teachers who wish to teach abroad in other Commonwealth countries. Ostensibly, the Protocol adopted in the United Kingdom was chaired by the then Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Prof. Fabian Osuji. | |
