Description
The paper attempted a discourse on environmental component of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) from geographical perspective through a survey of literature. It found education to be the exclusive channel for transferring learning experiences in sustainable development to the citizens. It took ESD as a vision of education that integrated and balanced human and economic well-being with cultural traditions and cognizance of environmental protection.
