Navy captain Kayode Olofin- Moyin Mss, Fss, Psc, Fwc, was sworn in on Thursday, August 6, 1998, as the 12th chief executive of Ogun state by the head of state, commander-in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria, general Abdusalami Abubakar. And, perhaps by coincidence, he formally assumed duties at Abeokuta on Wednesday, 12th August 1988. A pleasant and charming officer from the elite naval arm of the armed forces, the gentleman- officer was born in his native Ilawe-Ekiti in Ekiti State on the 13th of May 1950. Having completed his elementary education, the young Olofin-Moyin embarked on an eventful educational pursuit in 1965 when he enrolled at the famous annunciation catholic secondary school with the west African school certificate in flying colors.
