In the Northern Region, good progress was made with preliminary proposals for Forest Reservation, despite the shortage of officer staff. The West had a most profitable year, showing a Forestry surplus of £103,707 against £56,325 last year. Still, it was one of disappointment and frustration in the Eastern Region.
