dc.description | Throughout the first sixty years of this century there took place in Northern Nigeria an extraordinary demonstration of co-operative government between two quite different breeds of men. Together they gave that large, heavily populated, and heterogeneous country a blend of order and healthy forward movement that compares favourably with any it had known before. Their record is eminently worthy of study in a time such as ours when the physical barriers between races are everywhere lowered but when those against understanding and trust are as high as ever. | |
