| dc.description | This Book is of the opinion that security has become a more fundamental human need than food or shelter, necessitating a transition from amateur to professionalized service delivery. Furthermore, the book explores the administrative and legal dimensions of the industry, such as the concept of "Inadequate Security" and the resulting liability for management if remedial actions are not taken after an initial breach. It also clarifies the distinct roles of private guards versus public law enforcement, stressing that the private sector’s primary duty is to deter and eliminate vulnerabilities before crimes occur. By blending practical skills like hypervigilance and effective communication with management strategies, the work aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and field praxis, ultimately advocating for a "return to basics" to stem the tide of global and local insecurity. | |
