Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd (NigComSat)

Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat) is a federal government commercial satellite company that owns and operates Nigeria's communication satellites in geostationary orbit. NigComSat-1R, launched in 2011 as a replacement for the failed NigComSat-1, provides broadband internet, Direct-to-Home (DTH) television, e-governance, and defence communications services across Africa. NigComSat is a subsidiary of the Federal Ministry of Communications and is part of Nigeria's strategic investment in space-based communications infrastructure.
