National Bureau of Statistics (NBS)

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) is Nigeria's official national statistical agency, responsible for compiling, analysing, and publishing reliable and comprehensive statistical data on Nigeria's economy, population, and society. Established by the Statistics Act 2007, the NBS conducts national surveys, the national census, and other data collection exercises that underpin government policymaking, academic research, and business intelligence. It produces key economic indicators including the GDP report, the Consumer Price Index (CPI), and employment statistics.
