The Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning is the federal ministry responsible for coordinating Nigeria's economic development planning, formulating the national budget, and monitoring the implementation of government development plans. The Ministry prepares the Federal Government's Annual Appropriation Bill, manages medium-term expenditure frameworks, and oversees national development strategies including the Nigeria Agenda 2050 and the Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP). It coordinates economic data collection and evidence-based policymaking.
