National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB)

The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) is the federal regulatory body responsible for the censorship, classification, and regulation of films and video works in Nigeria. Established by the NFVCB Act 1993, the Board reviews, classifies, and approves films, video works, and digital content for public exhibition, distribution, and sale in Nigeria. It is responsible for protecting public morality through the enforcement of content standards, regulating the home video industry, and monitoring illegal film distribution.
