Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) – Secretariat of the National Council on Privatisation

The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) is the secretariat and implementing agency of the National Council on Privatisation (NCP). Established by the Public Enterprises (Privatisation and Commercialisation) Act 1999, BPE is responsible for the privatisation, commercialisation, and liberalisation of public enterprises in Nigeria. It manages the divestment of government stakes in enterprises across sectors including power, telecommunications, and transport, and advises the government on the management and reform of state-owned enterprises.
