House of Representatives of Nigeria

The House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the National Assembly of Nigeria, comprising 360 members elected from single-member constituencies across the country. Presided over by the Speaker, the House of Representatives initiates and passes federal legislation, proposes and debates the national budget, exercises oversight over the executive branch, and represents the interests of constituencies and the Nigerian populace at the federal level. Money bills must originate in the House of Representatives.
