Industrial Training Fund (ITF)

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) is a federal agency established by Decree No. 47 of 1971 (now the Industrial Training Fund Act Cap 19, Laws of the Federation 2004) to promote and encourage the acquisition of skills in industry and commerce in Nigeria. The ITF levies qualifying employers and uses the funds to reimburse training costs and provide training grants. It operates training institutes, industrial skills centres, and model vocational training schools across the country, with a mandate to bridge the skills gap in Nigeria's industrial sector.
