Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE)

The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE) is the federal ministry responsible for the development of Nigeria's digital economy, broadband infrastructure, innovation ecosystem, and information and communications technology (ICT) policy. Established in its current form by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023, the Ministry oversees the regulation of telecommunications, the implementation of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy, cybersecurity frameworks, digital identity, and the digitisation of government services. It drives Nigeria's ambition to be Africa's leading digital economy.
