The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is the lead agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria established by Decree No. 45 of 1988 (now FRSC Act Cap F19, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004) for the administration of highway traffic safety and reduction of road traffic crashes in Nigeria. It is responsible for making and enforcing regulations for the use of federal highways, ensuring proper vehicle registration and driver licensing, and conducting public enlightenment campaigns on road safety
