Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP)

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) is the federal regulatory agency responsible for monitoring and overseeing the public procurement process in Nigeria. Established by the Public Procurement Act 2007, the BPP formulates procurement policies, sets standards, certifies procurement thresholds, and reviews and authorises federal government procurement above specified limits. It is mandated to ensure that federal procurements are conducted with transparency, competitiveness, value for money, and fairness, and it investigates complaints from contractors and suppliers.
