The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment is the federal ministry responsible for formulating and implementing policies on employment, labour relations, occupational safety and health, and workers' welfare in Nigeria. The Ministry promotes decent work, enforces labour laws through factory inspections and labour audits, manages industrial disputes, and coordinates Nigeria's participation in the International Labour Organisation (ILO). It oversees the National Directorate of Employment and other agencies that support job creation and workforce development.
