Defence Headquarters (DHQ) / Armed Forces of Nigeria

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) is the supreme military command of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, responsible for coordinating joint military operations and providing strategic direction to the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, and Nigerian Air Force. The Chief of Defence Staff heads the DHQ and is the principal military adviser to the President and the Federal Executive Council. The DHQ coordinates Nigeria's military contributions to peacekeeping operations under the United Nations, the African Union, and ECOWAS.
