dc.descriptionThis is the portrait of Mrs. Olayemi Olubunmi Omolayole, the 1st female National librarian/ 3rd CEO of the National Library of Nigeria. She was the National librarian from 2000 to 2004. Mrs. Omolayole holds a bachelor arts in English language and law degrees and she was admitted to supreme court of Nigeria. To qualify her to practice librarianship, she had an ALA training in London, which gave her the recognition to practice as a librarian. Mrs. Omolayole started her working carrier with the Lagos state government, before she joined the services of the national library of Nigeria. Her first point of assignment with NLN was the Serials and Documentation Section at the 4 Wesley street and subsequently worked other professional departments over the years until she became the National Librarian/CEO of the National Library of Nigeria.
