dc.descriptionThis paper takes a critical assessment into the management of secondary education in a period of socio-economic and political stress in Nigeria and its implications for sustainable national development. It draws attention on the various management challenges of secondary education such as poor parenting, examination malpractice, truancy, cultism and others which pave way for poor secondary school students' academic performance, inability to defend certificates and high rate of dropouts.
