It is right to commend His Excellency, the governor of .Gombe State, Alhaji Abubakar Habu Hashidu, and the state’s House o f Assembly for being able to make the right decision of choosing Alhaji Bello Suleiman and the new commissioner. As a young state under a young democracy, capable new breed of unquestionable integrity and dedication such as Hon B ello Suleim an should be the ones to work with. Already, Hon. B ello Suleiman has been able to demonstrate his patriotic tendencies and has also been championing the cause of the youths through assistance in areas pertaining to employment which in the process has reduced economic predicaments. Apart from this, Hon. Bello Suleiman will remain a good source of inspiration to the younger generation for meaningful initiatives geared towards the maintenance of peace, unity and progress of Gombe State. • Gombe needs more people like Hon. Re: Well done Kwankwaso K indly allow me a space in your widely read newspaper (to advice brother Mohammad Bashir Isah Dakata on his write-up titled “Well done, Kwankwaso but. . .” in Daily Trust of 18th April, 2001. He said “The Kano State government has achieved a lot since its inception in terms of development.” He went ahead to mention areas such as employment, health, education, electrification and roads. To be sincere, it is unbecoming of a true Muslim to be carried away by roads, electrification etc and forget about the issue of Sharia which Kano people desperately need. These roads, employment etc are mere window dressing compared to the burning issue of Sharia which is a darling of all true Muslims.
