Description
The study examined the effects of changes from communal to individual land tenure for development in Okaka town of Oyo State. Primary and secondary data were utilized for the study. The paper examined the types of land tenure practices and methods of land allocation before the development of private ownership of land. Similarly, the individual's right to land, accessibility to land, mode of sales of land, offering of land as gift and distribution of land to different age groups and gender were all examined.
