Some of his works, especially his adult novels, have been as popular as they have been controversial. Ekwensi continues to write, contributing in no small measure to keeping Nigeria s name on the world literary map. Even in his sixty-fifth year of life, Ekwensi is still writing. If anything, he seems to have become even more prolific than ever. On February 11 1986, his novel, Jagua Nana's Daughter, a sequel to his most controversial novel Jagua Nana, was launched at the Sheraton Hotel, Lagos .A few months later, Heinemann Educational Books (Nig.) Limited released yet another novel by him, For a Roll of Parchment which begins a new series known as the Heinemann Frontline Series.
