It reflects the many changes which have taken place in Nigeria—one of the most rapidly developing countries in Africa—within the last twelve months. The Year book provides essential and comprehensive information about the country’s economic and statistical data, as well as details of the constitution, the judiciary, and education. A new feature of the present edition is the general survey As usual the details have been compiled on the basis of official statistical references. The accuracy of a reference book such as this must always-depend upon the co-operation of many contributors who supply information about the institutions they represent. We are indebted to them for their very useful assistance and co-operation.
