Created via Edict No. 8 of 1973 to manage agricultural credit independently following the dissolution of the Western State Agricultural and Industrial Investment Corporation, WSACC was established to stimulate agricultural production and increase farming incomes in the Western State of Nigeria. The Corporation successfully secured financial assistance from the Western State Government, the Federal Military Government Emergency Food Production Programmed, and a major credit agreement with the Nigerian Agricultural Bank. These funds enabled WSACC to execute the largest supervised agricultural credit scheme in the state, granting over N1.3 million in loans to more than 8,000 primary producers, primarily targeting cocoa, rice, maize, and livestock production.• Goal of the Corporation • Structure of the Corporation • The Board of the Corporation • Activities • Finance of the Corporation • Loan Policy • Corporation Solvency • Organisation and Staffing • Loan Portfolio • Audited Accounts • Report of the Auditors Pertaining to Balance Sheet as at 1st October, 1973 • Report of the Auditors Pertaining to the Statements of Accounts as at 31st March, 1974 • Future • Annexure AI: Organization Chart of the A.C.C. • Annexure I: Loans Approved During Period 1st October, 1973 – 31st December, 1974 • Annexure II: Balance Sheet as at 1st October, 1973 – 31st March, 1974 & Notes • Annexure III: Income and Expenditure for the Six Months Ended 31st March, 1974 & Schedulesen1st Annual Report of the Western State Agricultural Credit Corporation 1973–74Book
