Secondary method of data collection was used. The study showed that there are two other dimensions to sustainable development apart from economic sustainability. These include social and environmental sustainability. It was revealed that education impacted on sustainable economic development by fostering knowledge which is useful for productive skills from which various degrees of competencies are derived in application that foster development. Education also improves literacy; produces skilled manpower at all levels and contributes to economic growth.
